Get to know who you are and not what others want you to be
- Accept the fact that not everyone is born to be a size 0
- Do not deny yourself the things you love but eat in moderation
- Journal your thoughts and feelings about food every day and review what you have written at the end of every week. Evaluate.
- Engage in some form of sustainable exercise i.e. exercise you like and have to do such as walking for 45 minutes three times a week.
- Throw out all your useless diet books – diets do not work – and eat like a human being. The only think you need to watch is portion size.
- Eat when you are hungry.
- When you are eating out of control your mind is also out of control. Bring your mind under control with the help of meditation or professional help.
- Exercise alone will not make you lose weight you have to eat less than you are eating;
- Be gentle with yourself and love you like you love a good friend.
