I was shopping in a grocery store and the sales clerk asked if I needed a bag and I told him no that I would put my grocery in the bag I was carrying. Apparently he did not hear and instead of asking nicely, he sort of rudely asked "do you need a bag". It sounded pretty rude to me and I responded in kind I simple said "NO" sharply.
On my way to work, I realized that I had just been rude to an individual and here I am trying to be better than I was and I felt awful but what it occurred too me that I had merely mirrored my thoughts of the intention of that sales clerk - right or wrong. The moral of the lesson is be careful what you put out there because when you see yourself in the mirror of another person's eyes you might not like it. Be nice, rise above and be better than you were the day before.
I have to remember that.
