Living fully means not leaving the journey of your life as a human being to fate. It is the lazy person’s way of living.
What is fate? Fate means abdicating responsibility for what happens to you in your life, shrugging your shoulders and say what will be will be without realizing that what will be is totally up to you.
You shape your day every time you get up. You decide on the kind of day it will be for you. Many of us are steeped in negativity and ineffective thinking that we get up and start moving about like a robot. Those people who appear to be in control of their destiny make decisions about the kind of day they will have. When they get up they may say a prayer and ask the Creator for help in achieving the kind of day they want. Others who are less inclined to religious beliefs will make decisions about their day as soon as their feet hit the floor. They may decide to choose to be positive, happy and contented no matter what comes their way or they may decide to go into work and make someone’s life miserable. They may choose to be miserable. Whatever is your choice of thought in that moment is where your attention would be focused. Have you ever noticed how your attention shifts to what is going on inside of you? Oh yes. If you hope you will not see any pink elephant on a given day, guess what? You will see all the pink elephants around town that day. It is not that more pink elephants are on the prowl. No. It is because your thoughts are focused on pink elephants and the universe is creating your thoughts. We are our thoughts, you know. Whatever is out there on our personal horizons are what we create.
Blaming fate or thanking fate for what is going on in your life is unproductive. What you need to do is to start creating the things you want in your life. Take control of your life and you will feel more empowered, more successful and your life will take on greater meaning.
