Is your heart light or do you feel the weight of every beat? The heart is the organ that keeps us alive. When it is functioning at its best we are unaware that it is there but when spiritual stones enter it, the weight can sometimes feel so unbearable that make us want to give up and curl up in bed weighed down by the weight of our own heart.
There are many reasons why the blood that flows through our hearts appears to take on the quality of stones. Some of those stones take the form of sorry, hopelessness, anger, fear, hate, jealousy, discontentment etc. Joy seems far away in a place that we feel we may never reach again. What despair and unhappiness we feel at these times. There is hope.
You can extricate those stones by changing the thoughts that are creating them. Notice what dominates your thoughts each day, keep track of your thoughts and there is the beginning of your solution. You will find that you keep rehearsing in your mind the things that make you sad, that you are putting all your attention on those things that are generating negative emotions in you.
Once you identify the thoughts that are creating stones in your heart, then you make an intentional shift to positive thoughts. Is there something in your life that you are grateful for? Something that put a smile on your face? focus on that and magnify it, feed it with your attention. Remember what we feed is what grows, what we starve will shrivel up and die. If you want to kill those negative thoughts, you have to starve them out of your system by not giving them the attention they crave.
Prayer is one way of focusing your mind to a higher purpose. Through prayer we connect to our Source of Being, God. When that connection is broken, we flounder, darkness envelops us and we feel out of control of our thoughts. Prayers repair that connection. I invite you to make that connection to your Source again, through prayers, reading spiritual writings, reading inspirational words and to intentionally try to change your thoughts and watch your life transform for the better.
Below is one of my favourite prayers at any time but especially when I am feeling disconnected from my Source. It a short but powerful words.
Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy. Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee is my companion. Thy mercy to me is my healing and my succour in both this world and the world to come. Thou, verily, art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.
Choose your reality, choose your thoughts.
