Angels are real and they walk among us. We all could identify an angel if we opened our minds and consciousness to what is before us and not look in the sky for some airy-fairy beings. Quantum physics is a science of possibilities and after watching "What the Bleep Do We Know", I have come to believe that indeed anything is possible.
First of all we have to know and believe that things are not as they appear and that what we see out there in the world is what we create. We create our world by the things we focus our attention on. If you look for angels you will see angels.
I remember when I first came to Canada from the Caribbean to attend college, all I had was my college tuition and hope to survive on a prayer. I did not have money more than a couple months room and board and I could not work legally. I prayed that everything will work out for me and I didn't know how it could work out but I believed that I'd be all right.
The first day I attended school I talked to one of the counselors about my need to find a place. She directed me to a board that advertised people looking for boarders. On that notice board I saw an ad for a family that wanted a student to live with them and do light house duties in return for room and board. As soon as I saw that ad I knew that one was for me. There was no question. That would be the perfect solution to my problem. I phoned the number and spoke to the woman. She told me they had interviewed a few others but did not make a decision. She invited me to their house that evening. It was a beautiful house in the more affluent part of the city. Her husband was an engineer and she was a nurse but was a stay at home wife. Their three children were grown up and lived in various parts on the country.
As soon as I entered the home, I felt at home. I felt this was my prayer answered. These people were going to be my angels. The interview was like a fireside chat. We joked, laughed and shared foods we liked to eat.
I was not surprised to get a call the next day to ask how soon I could move in. The housekeeping duties were minimal. I did less than I would have done living at my own home. Everyday I came home from school to some scrumptious meals. The landlady in turned out loved cooking and experiment with exotic cuisines. She was a wonderful cook. All I had to do was to put the dishes in the dishwasher after supper, vacuum once a week, as Mrs. Williams (not her real name) had arthritis, and general dusting once in a while. The couple wintered in Florida for three months in the year and I had the house to myself, stocked with enough food to last me the three months.
This couple was my angel. They treated me like a daughter. We had an amicable and respectful and even loving relationship. At the end of my stay there, they gave me an all expense paid trip to Calgary by the train where I spent a month at Mrs. Williams’ sister.
Throughout my life I have had people, total strangers, help pave the way for me when I needed help.
Angels are those people who help each other when least expected. We are all pilgrims on the journey of life and there are guides in the form of angels who see our needs and step in to help us over bridges of difficulties and when we are on safe ground they leave and find the next person to help. So yes angels are real as you and me. What we need to do is to not take meaningful coincidence and synchronicity for granted; there are not accidents, no surprises, there are deliberate designs in the web of life and angels in the form of human beings are a prominent part of that web.
