For everything there is a
season
Whatever the reason
A time to give birth and a
time to conceive
A time to give and a time to
receive
You have given throughout
many years
You who have dyed black or
fallen hairs
We gather here to appreciate
you
For all you have done and
still do
We honour your contribution
Thank you for your
disposition
Your wit and wisdom
Today we serve you food
With pleasure and in
gratitude
You’ve earned our respect
And we voluntarily elect
To shower you with loving
care
Like treasures we hold dear.
When all is done
We would hope you had fun
It’s your day in the sun
Let’s start with soup and
bun.
For everything there is a
season
Sometimes without rhyme or
reason.
